Special Events
Community, as well as providing a safe place for it, is very important to us here at WMBC. Throughout the year we host a variety of events for children and families that are open to the public and usually free of charge. We hope you will join us as we continue to build a safe and loving community in Southwest Houston.
Souper Bowl of Caring Collections
Souper Bowl of Caring is a youth-led effort through Tackle Hunger to collect donations for food pantries that assist families in putting food on the table. We will be taking monetary donations through Sunday, February 8th, for the Braes Interfaith Ministries food pantry. If you would like to donate by check, please make checks payable to WMBC and designate “BIM Soup” in the memo section. You may also donate via our Online Giving Page. Just add your desired donation amount into the “Souper Bowl of Caring” line.
Ash Wednesday Service
We hope you will join us for a service of contemplation on Wednesday, February 18th. We will begin with dinner and fellowship at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall, followed immediately by the Ash Wednesday service at 6:15pm. If you would like to join us for dinner and you are not already on the weekly dinner list, please contact us and let us know how many plan to attend that evening.
